If critical thinking isn't applied during the concept phase, the finished collateral will not meet the client's expectations. You may ask, what is critical thinking? Listen to the client's goals for the project, then ask the critical questions. What is the emotion the client wants the target audience to feel and how can metrics be recorded to judge success? Network with
print vendors and be knowledgeable in design trends to have the design and concept fit like a hand in a glove.
